Welcome to another jam packed newsletter. In this week's edition you will be able to see if you were one of the lucky winners of a copy of 'The Boy Who Burped' with our Facebook competition.

You can also read my latest blog on gamifying spelling and grab some new free resources. I have included the text that was missing last week about the poster as I somehow copied and pasted the same text twice. I also have some great news about my Frugal Fred book for those waiting on a copy.

The most exciting news though is that Premium Members will soon be able to access the new Film School for Teachers (valued at $100) as part of their current subscription. This is a teacher version of our Active Kids Accredited Film Course and shows you exactly how to integrate videography into your classroom. It takes you step by step through how to teach students to film themselves with and without overlay, how to light a set properly so the image is watchable and how to edit the footage using free software when you are done filming. Make sure to read next week's newsletter to find out how to access this great addition to Learn From Play.

First up this week's blog on Gamifying Spelling is the 4th in the 5 part series and is all about playing Spelling Buzz. Click the image below to read the full article on how this game can make spelling fun for your class.

The 2 Free book activities this week are for 'The Boy Who Burped' (this week's book giveaway) and 2020 Caldecott Honour book Double Bass Blues. Two very different books that are both good for young audiences. There are also a lot of activities in these two sets which can be completed online with our new interactive worksheets. These are marked online and save both paper and time for busy teachers. Check them out now.

The content missing for last week was that we have a new poster to brighten your classroom. This is well worth the $1 per month it costs to access all the posters plus our ever growing teaching unit collection. The new unit on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will be available soon for teaching unit and premium members.

Now for the part you were waiting for - the book giveaway. We had 3 lucky winners this week - Esther White (our first entry), Leanne Vardy and Jo Grant Bevan. I have contacted these winners directly and will be posting them their books this week. There will be another book give away next week so make sure you read next week's newsletter to find out how to enter to win that book - The Garbage Trucks Are Coming Today.

I will also be posting copies of Frugal Fred this week as this has finally arrived in Australia, cleared customs and will be ready for posting soon. Please click on the front cover image below if you would like a copy but have not yet ordered one at the pre-release price of just $10 plus P&H. They will retail for $16.99 after next week.

As always if you have any questions, feedback or content suggestions send them to me and please help us grow our Learn From Play teaching community by sharing the site with your colleagues so everyone can benefit.

Rachel McCann
