Since 1945, the Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) has brought together children and books to celebrate Book Week and shine a light on Australian authors and illustrators.
Book Week 2023 is a time for schools, libraries, booksellers, authors, illustrators and children to celebrate Australian children's literature. Our CBCA Book Week activities make it easy to provide fun literacy activities before and after your Book Week Parade and focus exclusively on this years theme.
The Book Week 2023 theme "Read Inspire Grow" was created by talented author, artist and musician Matt Ottley. We have made activities to help you celebrate this theme and bring it to life for your children. Explore these activities and some of the books we are celebrating in 2023 below.
