Rainy Weather Fun & $1500 in Prizes to Win

On the North Coast of NSW it has rained fairly constantly for the past month. Instead of complaining I thought I would embrace this and our blog provides some fun activities you can do with your students next time it rains. Our 2 book resource sets are also a lot of fun and provide some great learning with Pandemic by Jackie French and We Are All Kind by P. Crumble and Jonathan Bentley.

Pandemic by Jackie French is a timely book about the 1920's Spanish flu and Jackie’s Grandmother’s acts of kindness during that time. With illustrations by Bruce Whatley, during 2 weeks in hotel isolation to prevent the spread of Coronavirus-19, this is a beautiful way to teach children that this is not

the first pandemic Australia has faced. There are 6 activities for this book covering the whole of primary school and these include a comprehension on the Spanish Flu, staying safe in a pandemic and Bruce Whatley biro and watercolour artwork.

We Are All Kind

We Are All Kind has a message for everyone about things we can be doing every day to make the world a better place.

The 6 activities for this book are mainly aimed at Pre-school and Kindergarten students with the exception of the poster to end deforestation. Activities include a colour by number, handwriting practice, measuring animals using coloured blocks, a poster on ending deforestation, matching pairs of rhyming words and an activity to practice sharing.
