All-of-a-Kind Family Hanukkah

This National Jewish Book Awards Finalist is written by Emily Jenkins but based on the characters created in 1912 by Sydney Taylor.  It is the story of a Jewish family with 5 girls preparing for Hanukkah in New York City.  When Gertie, the youngest, is not allowed to help prepare latkes, she is upset as she does not realise that she is going to be given the best Hanukkah job of all. Activities for this book include a comprehension, dreidel game, making latkes, a word match with drawing and creating a hand print Hanukiah.
