Book Activities for Australia from Dawn to Dusk by Brentos

A uniquely pastel coloured and beautifully illustrated story set across Australia. From kookaburras waking up with the morning sun in Arakwal Country (Byron Bay) to quokkas at dusk on Whadjuk Noongar Country (Rottnest Island). A wonderful way to teach children about times of day, places around Australia and some of the animals found in these locations.

The activities for this book are perfect for children from Years 2 to 6 as they will allow children to find places around Australia, learn the First Nations Country on which each location can be found, schedule a day in their lives and put clock times into chronological order.

Games

The games below are advertisement free and will open in a new window. They can be played by children online as many times as they like. The Match Up Memory Card Game will allow children to improve their memory while the Maze Game lets them develop strategy and problem solving skills while having fun. These games will also build children's attention, concentration and focus, visual recognition and short-term memory. Enjoy.
