Book Activities for Blue Flower by Sonya Hartnett and Gabriel Evans

This Children’s Book Council of Australia 2022 Shortlisted Picture Book is a heartfelt story about one child’s struggle to accept that she is unique and special because all she wants to do it be like all the other children.

The team at Learn From Play have made 4 activities for this book which are creating an artwork using yellow ink and water, folding pieces of paper on the dotted line, creating movement in pictures and an activity to use colour to reflect emotions.

Games

The games below are advertisement free and will open in a new window. They can be played by children online as many times as they like. The Match Up Memory Card Game will allow children to improve their memory while the Maze Game lets them develop strategy and problem solving skills while having fun.
