Book Activities for Ceremony by Adam Goodes, Ellie Laing and David Hardy

A playful educational look at the celebration of Country and community. With Adnyamathanha words woven cleverly throughout the text children can learn some of the words from one of Australia’s 350 First Nations languages.

The 4 activities the team at Learn From Play have created for this story include 2 activities designed to help children learn some of the Adnyamathanha words included in the story and the books endpapers, a deeper look at moiety based on the information included on the book’s verso page and a retelling of the story in order using words and pictures.

Games

The games below are advertisement free and will open in a new window. They can be played by children online as many times as they like. The Match Up Memory Card Game will allow children to improve their memory while the Maze Game lets them develop strategy and problem solving skills while having fun. These games will also build children's attention, concentration and focus, visual recognition and short-term memory. Enjoy.
