Book Activities for Charlie and The Chocolate Factory

Written over 5 decades ago this Roald Dahl story is a classic.  It follows the ventures of 11 Year Old Charlie Bucket and 5 other young children inside the chocolate factory of eccentric chocolatier Will Wonka.   The activities for this book include poetry writing, understanding how chocolate is made, a character study, Art and Craft, machine designing and cooking.  There is something for everyone and enough work to cover all areas of the curriculum.  This could be used across multiple weeks or with either the 1971 or 2005 movie versions of the book as an end of term fun activity.
