Shortlisted for the CBCA 2020 Award for New Illustrator this is an educational book about the Darug language and way of life. It teaches many traditional words and the aspects of nature that were important to Aboriginal people. Activities for this book include decorating a lizard with dot painting, matching Darug words to their English equivalent, a find-a-word of natural elements important to Aboriginal culture, handwriting with English and Darug words and drawing pictures for Darug words with their English translation.
