Book Activity for I Colour Myself Different by Colin Kaepernick and Eric Wilkerson
A beautifully illustrated story about a young boy who is different to the other members of his family as he is adopted. A story of self-love and the challenge of adoption by a white family of a Brown son.
The activities for this book are designed for students from the earliest years in Pre-school to those in Year 6 as they move from self love and being proud of who you are to a research activity into people of colour who have fought for freedom over the years.
