Book Activities for The Bewilderbeast by Josh Pyke and Binny Talib

A clever story for pre-school and Kindergarten aged children which uses rhyme and pictures to teach children about counting and imagination. The tracker is on the hunt for monsters in the jungle but instead of finding the parts for 5 different animals he finds one very unusual bewilderbeast.

The activities for this book are perfect for young children and include guessing the animal from just a small part of it, finding animals hidden in the jungle, matching rhyming words, counting monsters, a dot to dot to reveal the monster and a cut and paste activity to make your own monster.

Games

The games below are advertisement free and will open in a new window. They can be played by children online as many times as they like. The Match Up Memory Card Game will allow children to improve their memory while the Maze Game lets them develop strategy and problem solving skills while having fun. These games will also build children's attention, concentration and focus, visual recognition and short-term memory. Enjoy.
