Book Activities for Trouble in the Hen House Susan O'Meara and Yvonne Mes

This is a fun rhyming story about the lives of three chickens, Ellie May, Audrey and Daisy in an Australian summer. A fun look at what Farmer John could do to keep his chickens cool.

The team from Learn From Play have made five activities for children in foundation and kindergarten. These are matching rhyming words, matching words to their shape, counting eggs, simple instructions to draw a chicken, matching each chicken to their egg and a phoneme groups activity to create rhyming words.

Games

The games below are advertisement free and will open in a new window. They can be played by children online as many times as they like. The Match Up Memory Card Game will allow children to improve their memory while the Maze Game lets them develop strategy and problem solving skills while having fun. These games will also build children's attention, concentration and focus, visual recognition and short-term memory. Enjoy.
